Mick writes:

After pumping out eleven blues rockers for the 'Mozelle' album, I thought a palate cleanser was in order.. a little country music.

And had this old song in my head and it wouldn't go away. I did resist it, because to be honest it's a bit corny, and has been described in the past as a 'woman's song', being most notably recorded by the great Patsy Cline, who had a huge hit with it back in the 60s.

But as I say, it took root in my head and wouldn't leave. And I could hear it with a solid little bluesy shuffle going on, which I'm happy to say I think I achieved.

Some acoustic guitar soloing and here it is.. resplendent in glorious mono! Written by top Nashville songwriters Hank Cochran and Harlan Howard - 'I Fall To Pieces'.

Mick Clarke - I Fall To Pieces I fall to pieces
Each time I see you again
I fall to pieces
How can I be just your friend?
You want me to act like we've never kissed
You want me to forget
Pretend we've never met
And I've tried - I've tried
But I haven't yet
You walk by and I fall to pieces

You tell me to find someone else to love
Someone who love me too
The way you used to do
But each time I go out with someone new
You walk by and I fall to pieces
You walk by and I fall to pieces
